We love teeth!
We have a small, friendly team at Shakespeare Street who will do their best to make you feel comfortable and relaxed when you visit us.
Although most of our patients are local to Newcastle Upon Tyne we have an increasing number from London and the south east of England (as well as Canada and Australia).
Several of our private patients came to us after considering and rejecting treatment options in eastern Europe.
As you will see from our location, we are easily accessible by train and plane. Please contact us if you would like details of hotels nearby.
Sara Goodman BDS is the principal dentist at Shakespeare Street Dental Practice. She qualified at Newcastle Dental School in 1991 and went straight into general practice. After gaining experience as an associate, Sara took over Shakespeare Street Dental Practice in 2003. In addition to her annual commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Sara undertakes regular additional training and is qualified to restore dental implants. Most recently Sara has qualified to undertake tooth re-alignment using Inman Aligner
When you come to see us the dentist will ask you some questions and work with you to diagnose and plan your treatment.
Depending on what is required we offer the full range of NHS dental treatments including:
We also provide private dental treatments, not available on the NHS, including:
If you are interested in these, or any other specific treatment options, please call the surgery and we will be happy to answer any queries.
If you have been considering dental treatment in Eastern Europe then why not Newcastle!
Fees for NHS dentistry are fixed across the UK and at all dentists (for further information see the NHS choices website).
Fees are on a banded scale with the treatment included as follows;
|1||examination, scale and polish, x-rays, study models, prevention and oral health instruction||£23.80|
|2||all those treatments included in Band 1 plus fillings, root fillings, extractions and extensive periodontal (gum) treatments||£65.20|
|3||all those treatments included in Bands 1 and 2, plus bridges, crowns, veneers, dentures||£282.80|
All of the above are for treatments which are considered by the dentist to be clinically necessary.

We are in Central Newcastle Upon Tyne close to shops, Metro and Newcastle Central rail station
